The Legacy

The Legacy is a directed diary for parents of
teenagers. Parents are invited to recall and record memories of their own adolescence—their hopes and fears, accomplishments and mistakes, moments of confusion and clarity—so they might pass these stories on to their teenage children. The book is divided into five chapters, each dealing with one of the timeless challenges of growing up (separation from dependence on parents; the perils and wonders of independence; facing troubles on one’s own; developing depth of character; offering the best of oneself to the world.). Thought-provoking questions guide parents to key moments in their own teenage years, promoting deeper understanding and
compassion between generations.
